Rough Robert Poses

These are just two different poses that i tried for robert (the confident one). Yes they're very shitty. I did not clean them up because im still deciding on the poses and the composition. The main picture in my head is of a circus strong man jumping rope, but thats neither here nor there. I was thinking of having robert in the middle standing standing straight forward and terry on the right and clark on the left, similar to the poster. Anyways if you guys have ideas or comments, feel free. Although, i realize its difficult to get a point across over the internet.

I think the first pose really portrays your Robert characters confidence. The second pose seems like he is thinking making him more inquisitive. I can also see some weird shoulder deformation in the second pose but painting weights is a pain and doing it for three characters takes a long time. I also like the idea of posing them all together similar to the poster.

You are on the right track but Robert’s poses are overly influenced by the rig (too parallel). Go analogue and draw the pose you want and force the geometry to take the pose. I agree that the eyes don’t look right... Fix the iris to match your drawing (the eyes are too human right now). I like the little light blue gumball irises on the poster.

Arms and face poses look good. I want to see the animation of the character if possible. He looks heavy. Does he move slowly?

The textures are great and the poses are funny.

they're coming to life, that's awesome. I know you said you're still working on the poses so no need to critique something you aren't gonna keep. i like everyone's comments about the eyes, cartoony works for these guys. are you going to try and add some subsurface scattering? i think that would look really good.
http://www.gnomonology.com/group/15 the gnomon workshop has a free tutorial on how to make realistic skin, i know these characters aren't realistic, but i think it would make them look less like they have just a flat texture on them. also don't forget once you do go to pose them, make sure they're unevenly distributing their weight, it will also help sell their believability.

Hey trent, I think it would be funny if you had them all doing somewhat "macho" poses. Like robert in the middle flexing or something. I don't know just a thought
